Amazing Amsterdam


1. What country and city did you travel to?
   
Amsterdam

2.What time of the year did you travel?

July, when it was summer in Amsterdam

3. Where did you stay? 
 
Nieuw Slotania Hotel, it was clean and had good service.

4.What was your favourite location? 
 
Eden, it’s a small town where you can enjoy a nice bike ride whilst taking in amazing views. Close to Eden is a clog factory where they show you how to make clogs which was really interesting.




5.What was your favourite activity?  
 
Going to the Vincent Van Go museum because I’m a lover of art and all of his work is spectacular.

6. Name a song that framed your trip? Or reminds you of your trip?
 
A song that reminds me of my trip was a song played every morning on my Contiki bus which was ‘Stereo Love’ by Edward Maya.

8. Words of Warning  
 
Be careful as the coffee shops in Amsterdam aren’t always actually coffee shops. You may be walking into a shop that sells marijuana as Amsterdam is a forward thinking country and legalized the use of it.

9. List 3 essential clothing items
 
A jumper as the weather can get quite cold, walking shoes as you’ll do plenty of walking and an umbrella.

10. List 3 essential personal items
A camera, translator and plenty of euros as Amsterdam has some of the best drinks at its clubs.

1 Australian dollar equals 0.81 Euro. 

12. Name one thing that is highly recommended by you which is great value for money 
 
Going to the house of Anne Frank, because it gives you a detailed history of her life and shows you how she lived under Hitler’s rule. 

13. Traditional food that you recommend to try 
 
Try the cheese and wine in Amsterdam they are delicious.

14. Something to push your boundaries 

Go to a Sex Show in the red light district in Amsterdam. It is quite entertaining to see all the sleazy men who watch the show!
