Gorgeous Greece!

1.    What country and city did you travel to?

I travelled to the Greek island, Santorini.

2.     What time of the year did you travel?

July, when it is Summer in Greece.

3.   Where did you stay?

I stayed at Loizos apartments which are located in the centre of Fira, Santorini’s capital. The apartments are reasonably priced and are only 20 meters from the Caldera and walking distance to shops, night clubs, restaurants, cafes and so on.

4.    What was your favourite location?

The Caldera which is an amazing look out in Santoirni where you are able to see an incredible sunset and the view the volcano.

5.     What was your favourite activity?

My favourite activity would be the water sports. I had a fantastic time jet-skiing and tubing.

6.      Name a song that framed your trip? Or reminds you of your trip?

The song ‘call me maybe’ by Carly Rae Jepson reminds me of Greece as it was played in most clubs.

7.      List the 5 words you need to know in that country?

Hello - Γεια σας

How are you? - Πώς είσαι

Thank you? - σας ευχαριστώ

Goodbye - αντίο

Do you speak English? - Μιλάτε αγγλικά

8.     Words of warning

Be careful when catching a taxi as taxi drivers live of tourism and may try and charge you more.

9.   List 3 essential clothing items

I recommend you should definitely take swimmers and dresses as the weather in extremely hot. Also sandals are a must as all the girls at clubs wear sandals instead of heels.

10.  List 3 essential personal items

It is a good idea to take sunscreen and sunglasses as you’ll be out in the sun. Also take a camera to capture the amazing views that Sanotrini has to offer.

11. Currency convertor

1 Australian dollar equals 0.81 Euro. Everything in Greece is really cheap, so you’ll be able to enjoy wonderful food and drinks, do fun activities and buy unique clothes and jewellery at great prices.

12.  Name one thing that is highly recommended by you which is great value for money

A donkey ride as it’s a fun and exciting way to see Santorini. It’s very cheap roughly around $12.

13.  Traditional food that you recommend to try

You must try a yeros, they are delicious and you’ll find them at nearly every restaurant!

14.  Something to push your boundaries

I recommend trying a lemon slushy shot. They are unique and you’ll definitely enjoy your night!
